Project Based Methodology

All technology projects benefit from a project based approach whether you need:

The more complex, large, time sensitive or business critical your project the more important a project based approach becomes.

iTEK understands the benefit of applying a project approach, we have applied our years of real world experience to formulate a defined project methodology for these engagements. We find applying this process ensures efficiency and success.

As a quick introduction, our TEKStart process is as follows:

PREP  A thorough, organized discovery process helps all parties to gain a clear understanding. PREP includes: discovery, detail gathering, information sharing, user interactions, product demonstrations, initial planning meetings, initial product selection, etc
PLAN After PREP, this step builds out the solution plans in detail: system design docs, scopes of work, application development requirements, equipment ordering, overall project plan with team members, risk mitigation, change management and status reporting defined – for more details, we will be happy to discuss your project in detail.
START The delivery and implementation phase includes: delivery of the system components to your site(s), test and accept new application if part of project, execute the scopes of work and deliver against the overall project plan. At the end of START you are operational.

Project Planning: Every technology based project benefits from thorough planning and iTEK has a seasoned team experienced in working with the appropriate parties to build out a complete project plan.
Project Execution: Our project team can manage day to day project execution. Typically includes resource and schedule management, exception handling, reporting / status, change management, risk mitigation and documentation management.
Staging/Integration: Our primary staging center is at our corporate facilities in Southern California, however we also operate centers in TX and NJ. Staging typically has its own scope of work and may include such things as; inventory tracking, integrating various components, software/configuration/encryption loading, asset tagging, burn in or system testing and site system kitting.
Project Logistics: Includes out bound logistics to have product arrive at the right site at the right time as well as in-bound return as required and handling any manufacturer OBF procedures.
Record Keeping/Wrap up: All project documents to be kept are identified up front, collected during execution and provided as part of a final wrap up process.
Nationwide Rollouts: Our team is experienced with local projects for one site or planning and executing large nationwide rollouts.
Product Refresh: Rather than a complete new system implementation, your project may be a straight forward product update of a system or even just one system component – we will be happy to review, plan and accomplish for you.
